Grigore Rosu

Later, as a professor at UIUC, he created the K Framework, a tool for formally verifying programming languages. In 2010, he founded Runtime Verification, pioneering formal verification in decentralized markets and securing billions in assets. Pi² Labs represents the next step in his journey, leveraging over 25 years of expertise to create Fast, a secure global payment system.

From aerospace to financial systems, Grigore Rosu has dedicated his career to building technologies that reshape industries. Now he's applying his expertise to building a new payment system for agents at Pi² Labs.

After completing his Ph.D. in computer science at UCSD, Grigore joined NASA to work on spacecraft software that couldn't fail. He then joined the College of Engineering at UIUC as a professor of computer science where he invented the K Framework, a groundbreaking tool that formally verifies any programming language. In 2010, he founded Runtime Verification, the first team to bring formal verification to decentralized markets and settlement systems, securing billions in assets.

Pi² Labs is the culmination of this journey, applying 25+ years of formal verification expertise to Fast, a new payment system that enables agents to move money globally and securely at internet speed.

Grigore holds a B.A. in Mathematics and an M.S. in Fundamentals of Computing from the University of Bucharest, Romania, and a Ph.D. in computer science from UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering

Sriram Vishwanath

Sriram Vishwanath is a prominent researcher in AI/ML and distributed systems, focusing on enabling agents to transact autonomously and securely. With over 300 publications and 19,000+ citations, he holds the Byers Chair for Computer Engineering at Georgia Tech and has previously taught at UT Austin. An IEEE Fellow and Technical Fellow at MITRE Labs, he also co-founded Pi2 Labs, where he is developing Fast, a new payment system for agents. Sriram is a serial entrepreneur with three successful exits and advises startups valued at over $1 billion.

Sriram holds a B.Tech. from Indian Institute Of Technology–Madras, an M.S. from California Institute of Technology, and a Ph.D. from Stanford University.

Jessy Huang

Co-Founder, Chief of Strategy

Jessy is a builder and strategist focused on AI, payments, and coordination systems. She spearheaded agent-focused initiatives at the Ethereum Foundation, launching the global AI agent registry (ERC-8004). Jessy also fostered early payments for autonomous agent transactions. Her work translates agent capabilities into practical infrastructure. Previously, at EigenCloud, she directed strategy, scaling verifiable cloud for AI to secure over $20B in value. Her expertise includes product strategy, ecosystem design, and market execution.

Most recently, Jessy led agent-focused initiatives at the Ethereum Foundation, where she helped launch the global AI agent registry (ERC-8004) and supported the ecosystem in early payments primitives that enable autonomous agents to transact permissionlessly (e.g. x402). Her work focused on translating emerging agent capabilities into real-world infrastructure that developers and enterprises can actually use.
