After completing his Ph.D. in computer science at UCSD, Grigore joined NASA to work on spacecraft software that couldn't fail. He then joined the College of Engineering at UIUC as a professor of computer science where he invented the K Framework, a groundbreaking tool that formally verifies any programming language. In 2010, he founded Runtime Verification, the first team to bring formal verification to decentralized markets and settlement systems, securing billions in assets.

Pi2 Labs is the culmination of this journey, applying 25+ years of formal verification expertise to Fast, a new payment system that enables agents to move money globally and securely at internet speed.
